33 Tools Menu
Tools can be accessed via a tab located on the Main menu. Tools are used for database maintenance and performance monitoring.
Invalid Data: This tool is used to display all data that has not been recorded correctly. It allows the user to locate and correct these errors.
Player Maintenance: This tool lets you do maintenance on players data. For instance, this includes updating single result count for all players or refreshing age groups.
Refresh Calculated Data: The Refresh Calculated Data tool is used to refresh all data that has been used in a calculation, ensuring that the data in fields is current and up-to-date.
Merge 2 Player Into 1: This tool merges the information for two players into one. This rectifies the problem where the same player has been entered twice into the system.
Convert Case: When entering data it is hard to ensure the cases (i.e. upper or lower) of letters. This tool lets you convert all field data to upper or lower case. You will need to choose the table and field name to convert the case.
Who is Logged on: Lists all users currently using the database.
Performance Test: The Performance Test tool is used to test performance of both local PC and network. If your database is slowing down you can use this option to check the performance.
Compact and Repair Data: This tool repairs and compacts database in one operation. Use this option if you your is performing poorly and the size of database is big.
Options: This tool is used to record all information that is specific to your company. Use this section to store the company logo (to appear on reports), contact information, type of font be used on printouts, plus other relevant information.
