**Brisbane Full Stack User Group: Storage Wars: Choosing the right House for your data with Vlad Kireyev **
About the Talk:
This presentation explores one of the most common decisions in Microsoft Fabric: where to store your data.
It cuts through the confusion between Lakehouses and Warehouses, two storage options that look similar on the surface but serve very different purposes, and explains how Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) brings them together into a coherent data strategy.
By the end, you'll understand when to reach for a Lakehouse, when a Warehouse is the right call, and why the answer for most real-world Fabric projects is usually both.

AI Hack Days are community-run events for Developers or people who want to learn AI for free.
There will be something for everyone. Experienced AI developers can share ideas with other experienced developers. If you’re a beginner, then there’s plenty to learn on the day.
If you then want to build something yourself, you’ll need some of the Microsoft AI and/or Machine Learning (ML) tools already setup and installed. If you’ve never played with AI or ML before it would be good to do a little bit of learning before the day but it’s not a requirement as all experience levels are welcome.
Ever wondered what it really takes to ship a mobile app? Hark Singh takes you on a journey through the world of mobile development - from choosing the right framework (Flutter, .NET MAUI, or React Native?) to wrangling emulators, real devices, and the dreaded app store review process.
Expect real war stories, practical tips, and the lessons you only learn the hard way - perfect for web developers curious about going mobile, and a good laugh for anyone who has already survived it.
About Hark:
Hark is a Full-Stack Developer at SSW who builds clean, reliable software with a focus on user experience and delivery discipline. He joined SSW through FireBootCamp and works across Angular, .NET, Azure, and Flutter.
Scrum Masters lose hours each week to the same glue-work: Sprint prep, PBI chasing, Retros, and community triage. This session shows how one Scrum Master handed that off to AI agents, using Claude Code with custom skills, self-running routines, and MCP tool integrations into GitHub, PostHog, and more.
Expect a candid look at where agents save real time, where a human still leads, and what it takes to actually go "agentic".
About Eli:
Eli is a Melbourne-based Software Engineer at SSW, originally from Invercargill, New Zealand. He specialises in building scalable, maintainable software using modern Microsoft and JavaScript technologies, working with clients across industries to deliver clean, cloud-first solutions.
Angular Hack Days are community-run events for Angular Developers or people who want to learn Angular for free.
There will be something for everyone. Experienced Angular developers can share ideas with other experienced developers. If you are a beginner, then there’s plenty to learn on the day.
It’s recommended that attendees bring their own laptop on the day with Angular already set up and installed. If you’ve never played with Angular before, it would be good to do a little bit of learning before the day, but it’s not a requirement, as all are welcome.
AI makes it easier to write code. Angular makes it easier to organise that code into something a team can maintain.
AI makes it easier than ever to write code quickly, but speed is only useful if that code can be maintained, tested, and scaled by a real team.
That is where Angular still matters.
While React gets a lot of attention, Angular gives developers a strong, opinionated framework with TypeScript-first development, built-in routing, forms, services, dependency injection, and clear conventions. Those guardrails are especially valuable in the AI age, because they help keep AI-generated code structured, consistent, and production-ready.
For new or AI-curious developers, Angular is worth a taste test. It shows how AI can help you move fast without creating chaos, and how a well-structured framework can make your apps easier for both humans and AI to understand, extend, and maintain.

In this workshop we will build a CRM application with Angular using components, services, dependency injection, forms, Angular modules and lazy loaded routes. We will then cover unit tests and using the redux pattern with the ngrx library. By the end of this workshop, you will have built a working Angular application you can extend into an enterprise application. You will also walk away with the source code and the course material. So, join us to learn to build great enterprise applications with Angular.

In this 2-day hands-on Workshop, we will cover the best approach to building enterprise applications using Clean Architecture & .NET Core. You will be building your own application from scratch.
Introduction
The explosive growth of web frameworks and the demands of users have changed the approach to building enterprise applications. Many challenges exist and just getting started can be a daunting prospect. Let's change that now.
This hands-on workshop will provide practical guidance and recommendations. We will cover architecture, technologies, tools and frameworks. We will examine strategies for organizing your projects, folders and files. We will design a system that is simple to build and maintain - now and well into the future.
You will leave this hands-on workshop having developed the foundation and structure for your next enterprise application, along with the knowledge to take your enterprise application development to the next level.
