How to configure LinkAuditor to use an Azure database?

  1. Go to https://manage.windowsazure.com, create an empty database
  2. Go to database dashboard page. Copy connection string to a file
    Here is an sample connection string
    Server=tcp:ot4chwjlls.database.windows.net,1433;Database=SSWLinkAuditor;User ID=ssw@ot4chwjlls;
    Password={your_password_here};Trusted_Connection=False;Encrypt=True;Connection Timeout=30;
    
  3. Change the copied connection string and update the password field
    From
    Server=tcp:ot4chwjlls.database.windows.net,1433;Database=SSWLinkAuditor;User ID=ssw@ot4chwjlls;
    Password={your_password_here};Trusted_Connection=False;Encrypt=True;Connection Timeout=30;
    
    To
    =tcp:ot4chwjlls.database.windows.net,1433;Database=SSWLinkAuditor;User ID=ssw@ot4chwjlls;
    Password=;Trusted_Connection=False;Encrypt=True;Connection Timeout=30;
    
  4. Copy the connection string to LinkAuditor.
  5. Should get all green after upgrading.
