How to check links which need authentication?

There are two kinds of authentication: HTTP Authentication and Form Authentication. SSW Link Auditor can handle both.

Configure Credentials for HTTP Authentication protected

HTTP Authentication protected sites show like this:

Link Auditor can't access the site without configure credential for it:

In order to access this kind of site:
  1. Check "Configure Credentials for HTTP Authentication protected sites", click "Configure".

  2. Input the site credentials information in the "Credential Form", click "OK".

  3. Scan again, as you can see in the result, Link Auditor access the site successfully.

Configure Credentials for Form Authentication protected sites

Form Authentication protected sites show like this:

Link Auditor can't access the site without configure credential for it:

In order to access this kind of site:
  1. Check "Configure Credentials for Form Authentication protected sites", click "Configure".

  2. Add the Form Authentication login entry, and input the site credentials information in the "Credential Form", click "OK".

  3. Scan again, as you can see in the result, Link Auditor access the site successfully.
