NET User Group April: The Age of Abundance: Stop Rationing your Tokens with Eddie Kranz
Embrace the token abundance mindset. Models are getting faster, and context windows are expanding; the biggest bottleneck in software engineering is our own scarcity mindset.
Join Eddie as he breaks down how to completely rethink your relationship with AI tools.
We will explore why we're ditching agent frameworks for pre-built Claude Code backends, and how token abundance has led us to automate entire sprint review loops and revisit seemingly solved problems. Stop hoarding tokens and rethink everything from first principles, because the game has officially changed.

In May we're back with one of our favourite speakers Adam Cogan. Adam has spoken every year since the Newcastle Coders Group started and always brings a great presentation.
This event will be hosted at the SSW Newcastle Office.
We'd like to thank our sponsors:
* SSW
* Saphi Engineering.
About Adam's Talk - From Copilot to the Garden of Eden
Move beyond the underwhelming 2023 "Copilot hype" to the tools actually delivering value for developers. Adam Cogan cuts through the noise, exploring how AI is fundamentally reshaping the enterprise stack, from Copilot and Cowork to agentic workflows and CLI-based coding.
Learn how roles are shifting, which AI assistants are winning, and what an AI-integrated "Garden of Eden" looks like. Leave with a practical roadmap to build, analyze, and automate with confidence.

AI Hack Days are community-run events for Developers or people who want to learn AI for free.
There will be something for everyone. Experienced AI developers can share ideas with other experienced developers. If you’re a beginner, then there’s plenty to learn on the day.
If you then want to build something yourself, you’ll need some of the Microsoft AI and/or Machine Learning (ML) tools already setup and installed. If you’ve never played with AI or ML before it would be good to do a little bit of learning before the day but it’s not a requirement as all experience levels are welcome.

In this workshop we will build a CRM application with Angular using components, services, dependency injection, forms, Angular modules and lazy loaded routes. We will then cover unit tests and using the redux pattern with the ngrx library. By the end of this workshop, you will have built a working Angular application you can extend into an enterprise application. You will also walk away with the source code and the course material. So, join us to learn to build great enterprise applications with Angular.
