In this session you will see an overview of the Visual Studio Team System suite of tools and how they can improve your software development cycle.

Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) and Team Foundation Server (TFS) combine to integrate the whole development cycle from initial design, testing and development as well as bug tracking and project management tools. In this session you will be taken through everything you need to know to optimize your software development cycle using VSTS:

  1. How a bug tracking system should work
  2. How TFS work items work
  3. The missing pieces
  4. Customizing TFS to work in your organization
  5. Integrating work items and your bug tracking system
  6. A review of third-party tools

System Requirements

Systems will be provided during the demonstrations that have all necessary software installed.

You are welcome to bring your own laptop - make sure you have the latest versions (including Service Packs) of Visual Studio 2005, Team System and SQL Server 2005 (or Express) installed.
