Do you add a Bot signature to make it clear when an email is automated?

Between Power Automate, Logic Apps, and AI agents that send mail on your behalf, automated email is everywhere. Any reminder or notification you find yourself sending regularly should probably be automated.

The recipient should still be able to tell that a machine sent it, not a person. That is partly transparency, and partly because watching a bot handle something is what prompts people to automate their own work.

How do you signal it?

• A signature line - name the automation that sent it, such as --Powered by SSW.Shorts
• A link to the rule or process it implements - so the reader can see why they received it, and change it if it is wrong
• A 🤖 emoji - a lightweight marker when a full signature is more than the message needs
