Alex is an SSW UI/UX Designer specialising in product design and strategy. He designs beautiful digital products for fast-moving product teams, leveraging AI workflows across the full product lifecycle – from early concept to shipped code. A multidisciplinary designer who contributes directly to implementation, Alex uses tools like Cursor and Claude Code to keep design systems consistent, accelerate prototyping, and ensure WCAG accessibility is baked in from the start. He partners closely with engineers and product teams to keep vision and execution aligned.

Professional Development

Previously, Alex helped Australian startups shape their products toward product-market fit. Before that, he spent 5 years as a carpenter – so he doesn't shy away from a hard day's work and knows what it means to build with care and intention. Outside of work, you'll find him mastering his favourite video games, fixing his car (again), growing and propagating plants, firing up the barbecue with mates, or talking design over a beer or coffee.

Selected Work

Energy Optimisation Platform Alex joined mid-build, bringing structure and simplicity to a rapidly evolving product. Working closely with the CEO and engineers, he facilitated cross-functional workshops, made design decisions aligned with business goals, and used Lean UX methods to iterate quickly as the product matured. He inherited a component library originally built for another domain and, in collaboration with developers, laid the foundation for a cohesive design system by repurposing what already existed.

Street Furniture Manufacturing Alex led a complete brand and digital evolution for a street furniture manufacturer whose reputation for quality wasn't reflected in their brand or online presence – costing them project opportunities. As full-stack designer leveraging AI workflows, he delivered brand strategy, visual identity, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI. He then built the site in Webflow CMS with dynamic search filters, geolocation integration, a 3D product configurator, and SEO.
