The Professional Scrum Master (PSM) course is a 2-day course that covers the principles and (empirical) process theory underpinning the mechanics, rules and roles of the Scrum framework. Advanced tools for servant-leadership are provided to increase a Scrum Master’s effectiveness. Course Objectives

Students are challenged to think in terms of Scrum and the Scrum principles to better understand what to do when they return to their workplaces.

What will be expected of you?

This is a unique course in that it's technically-focused, team-based, and employs timeboxes. It demands that the members of the teams self-organize and self-manage their own work to collaboratively develop increments of software.
All attendees must commit to:

Pay attention to all lectures and demonstrations
Participate in team and group discussions
Work collaboratively with other team members
Obey the timebox for each activity
Commit to work and do your best to deliver

Prerequisites:

Attendees make the most of the class if they:

Have studied the Scrum Guide (required)
Have passed the Scrum Open assessment
Have a solid understanding of Scrum either through working on a Scrum Team, or through having taken part in a Professional Scrum Foundations or similar course
Have been on or are closely involved in building or enhancing a software product or application using Scrum
Have read one of the Scrum books of Ken Schwaber or the book "Scrum – A Pocket Guide" by Gunther Verheyen
