SSW's special series of Tech Breakfasts are designed
to be the definitive events on Microsoft .NET for IT
Managers and Developers
Sydney - Adam Cogan, Regional Director of the
Microsoft Developer Network and Managing Director of
SSW, has announced a new series of breakfast seminars
based on the Microsoft .NET platform. SSW has been
holding technical breakfasts for 3 years and now the
new ones are based on Visual Basic .NET, ASP .NET and
XML Web Services. The seminars are held in Sydney once
a month from 7.30am - 10.00 am to fire up delegates
before the working day.
"SSW has been developing solutions and services in
Microsoft Technologies for over 10 years and have been
working with .NET for over 12 months now. We have had
brilliant results in time and cost savings in
delivering applications to clients that could never
have been achieved with Microsoft's old COM model.
With .NET, Microsoft has changed the development
process, by unifying languages into a single
framework. It is a unique set of developer tools,
which has given our developers the ability to build
systems that are far better than even 12 months ago -
all our .NET clients have been extremely happy with
the results". Cogan said.
".NET gives life to rich clients (using Winforms). One
of the key unique benefits of .NET is that rich
clients can connect to the same data source via web
services - giving the best user experience.
Applications will work on other forms such as PCs,
mobile phones, hand helds."
The seminars are limited to 12 delegates to encourage
interactive discussions and questions. Participants
are both developers and managers of web services, who
are interested looking deeper into the elements of
.NET.
Each breakfast seminar costs $110 (incl GST) and kicks
off with a hearty and healthy breakfast to get through
the intensive sessions.
