Microsoft .NET, wine and grape stomping at "NETaway 2002" 25th May, 2002

SSW announces "NETaway 2002 - Australia's premier training event for .NET, set amongst the vineyards in the Hunter Valley.

Sydney - 25th May 2002 - SSW, a Microsoft Partner has announced 'NETaway 2002' - designed to be the premier training event of the year for technical developers, managers, consultants and enthusiasts of the .NET platform. This is the only event of it's kind in Australia.

The intensive week-long training in .NET will be a mixture of both seminars and hands-on labs, focusing on the hote .NET issues. Key industry gurus from the USA and Australia will be there to speak on hot new technologies and future development issues and trends. There is also a very special Key Note speaker attending as a suprise. To spice things up, there are also planned events, such as golf and tennis tournaments, grape stomping and, of course, a wine tour of the region.

Sessions include: the .NET Framework, Visual Studio, ASP.NET XML Web Services, ADO. The event is designed to be very practical, with break out sessions, hands-on learning labs to give delegates a chance to try what they're learning.

Charles Sterling from Microsoft states the importance of this course: "this is an essential event for anyone working on a .NET project in the next year" he says. And the course design and location, he says, is carefully designed to maximise learning: "Unlike normal training courses in the city, where the delegate is distracted by work and committments, this retreat will enable people to really concentrate on intensive learnings during the day, with a stunning location and fun activities to really unwind and relax."

Another different approach to the training is delegates are encouraged to bring along their family. Accommodation is free to both partners and children, so the delegate can really relax and enjoy the beautiful environment. And being in the heart of wine country with many activities to enjoy, the kids will not be short of things to do during the day.
