Kosta is a highly skilled and passionate Senior Software Engineer based in SSW’s Sydney office, with over 10 years of experience in software development, data engineering, and data analysis. He has successfully delivered projects across a wide range of industries, including advertising, logistics, education, radiology, internet services, insurance, retail, and news.

He has extensive hands-on experience modernising large, complex legacy .NET systems and migrating them to current versions of .NET. Kosta was delivering large-scale .NET migrations well before the widespread adoption of AI-assisted development, building deep expertise in legacy codebases, dependency management, architecture, automated refactoring, and complex build systems. Today, he combines that proven experience with modern AI tools to complete migrations more efficiently while maintaining a strong understanding of the underlying code, risks, and architectural decisions.

His modernisation experience includes refactoring and cleaning up large codebases using custom-built tools and Roslyn analysers, resolving complex build and dependency issues with MSBuild, and developing practical migration strategies that reduce risk while improving maintainability.

Kosta has strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. He builds scalable data platforms across development, testing, and production environments, with a strong focus on data quality, performance, maintainability, governance, and reliable deployment processes.

Kosta also has extensive experience designing and delivering complex Zendesk integrations, connecting Zendesk with enterprise systems and automating business processes to improve data consistency, operational efficiency, and the customer support experience.

As a capable mentor and collaborative team member, Kosta is committed to helping developers strengthen their skills, adopt better engineering practices, and integrate smoothly into new teams and projects. He also advocates for the reliable and responsible use of AI in software development, where developers remain accountable for the outcomes, critically review AI-generated solutions, and fully understand the code they produce and maintain.
